Dili, August 12, 2024— The Executive Director of the ICT Agency TIMOR I.P. , Mr. Venâncio Pinto, accompanied by the Director of Information and Application Management &Development System (DDSIA Portuguese acronym), Mr. Justo Fernandes and the team, held a service coordination meeting today with the Land and Properties Commission team, at the TIC TIMOR building, in Caicoli.
The objective of the meeting aims to address the requisition of the Land and Property Commission to develop its Official Website with a view in publishing activities related to Land and Property services including the development of the Database System at the said institution.
At this meeting, the Executive Secretary of the Land and Properties Commission, Mr. Celito Cardoso emphasized that, being a new institution, the Land and Properties Commission intends to adapt with the development of the technology system in which is currently developing quickly, however, the Land and Properties Institution itself does not have human resources available in the IT areas, therefore, they immensely require the support from the TIC TIMOR I.P. Agency.
Furthermore, the Secretary also highlighted that, according to the information obtained, the TIC TIMOR I.P. Agency has been providing System development services to State Institutions, therefore, the Land and Properties Commission is fully interested in establishing service cooperation with TIC TIMOR I.P.
On this occasion, the Executive Secretary of Lands and Properties also expressed the intention that, his Institution really needs to create Official Website, with a view to officially publishing issues related to land issues, including other information related to the activities of the Lands and Property Commission.
Related to the issues addressed by the Land and Properties Commission, the Executive Director of TIC TIMOR I.P. expressed his gratitude for the trust deposited by State Institutions for TIC TIMOR I.P. including the Land and Property Institution in which just obtained knowledge related to the existence of TIC TIMOR I.P. regarding the provision of support for the Digitization System to Public Institutions and Private Sectors, based on the program of the IX Constitutional Government under the terms of number 2.8 of the program regarding Technology, Information and Communication and 6.7 related to Electronic Government, in which becomes the main reference of mission assigned to TIC TIMOR I.P, for the implementation of e-Government throughout the national territory of Timor-Leste.
The Executive Director of TIC TIMOR also emphasized that, "TIC TIMOR greatly appreciated the trust of Land and Properties Commission to TIC TIMOR in developing the Website and Application in its Institution, and TIC TIMOR is always ready in providing necessary support in accordance with requisition of the Land and Properties Institution", highlighted the Executive Director of TIC TIMOR.
The Superior of TIC also informed that, the TIC TIMOR's priority plan for the future, is going to establish coordination services with all public corporations with the aim in developing its Websites and Application, including providing training on ways how to use the existing System.
On this occasion, the Director of Information System and Application Development (DSIA), Mr. Justo Fernandes, also introduced at the same time issues related to the progress of services which have been implemented by TIC TIMOR in relation to digitalization, thus, allow all state institutions to find out services carried out by TIC TIMOR I.P. during these times, in accordance with the IX Constitutional Government, attributed to TIC TIMOR.
The Director also emphasized that, the DSIA Directorate have developed a number of Website, Portal and Application Systems around forty (40) and more, in several public institutions. Furthermore, the Director also clarified that upon the development of the Portal, TIC TIMOR also provides adequate training on how to the use the said Portal.
The meeting was attended by the head of department of TIC TIMOR, including those from the Land and Properties Commission.
