DÍLI August 22^nd, 2024__ The Ministry of Social Solidarity (MS) through the National Social Security Institution (INSS Portuguese acronym) provided dissemination of information regarding the social security services to the employees of TIC TIMOR I.P. Thus, the employees become more informed about the social security.

The purpose of social security aims to protect workers from the social life risks, in replacing incomes when they are fired or losing their jobs, and social benefits aimed in replacing their salaries.

At the opening of the socialization, the Executive Director of INSS, Mrs. Maria Antonia Siquera Gusmão, emphasized that social security becomes a fundamental right for workers, so it is expected that they would fulfill their obligations in order to obtain their rights.

In accordance with the RDTL Constitution, provided for in article 56, establishes that all citizens have the right to social security and social assistance in accordance with the government's capabilities.

Therefore, the INSS has the important role of socializing all institutions, thus, all workers can be informed about the function of social security.

On the same occasion, the Director of Cooperative Services Directorate of TIMOR I.P., Mrs. Helen Esmeralda Catarina Gomes, conveyed her gratitude to the INSS for their willingness to provide the employees of TIC TIMOR I.P socialization regarding social security. in order to answer questions of employees which have been occurred so far. The Director requested at the same time the employees to provide maximum collaboration to better understand the social security process.

At the same opportunity, the Director of Social Security Services, Mr. José Soares, provided a presentation related to the function of the same social security.
