DÍLI, 23 September 2024__The TIC TIMOR I.P. Agency through the Information and Application System Development Directorate (DDSIA Portuguese acronym), provided today official portal Administration Management training to employees of the Coordinating Ministry of Economic Affairs (MCAE Portuguese acronym).

The purpose of this training is to increase the capacity of MACAE employees in order to manage and administrating the Official Portal with the purpose in transmitting information to the public related to MCAE activities.

At the opening of the training, the General Coordinator of the Cabinet of the Vice-Prime Minister of MCAE and MTA, Mr. Jorge Rui de Carvalho Martins expressed his gratitude to TIC TIMOR for its availability in developing the Official Portal and thus be able to help the publication of the MCAE activities.

The Coordinator of the Deputy Prime Minister clarified that, the Government already established the policy in creating the Electronic Government and the policy in implementing administrative modernization strategy, developing the added value of Electronic Government, including the establishment of connectivity and internet access platforms in all State and Government institutions, thus be able to publish information to the public in general.

"This training becomes very important in order to increase the capacity of employees with the aim of managing the Official Portal in a more appropriate way in order to publish information related to MCAE's activities to the public." highlighted the Coordinator of the Deputy Prime Minister.

MCAE will remain to request the assistance of TIC TIMOR in providing necessary technical support in the provision of integrated services.

The Coordinator of the Deputy Prime Minister requested the employees to take advantage of the opportunity of this training so that the employees be able to manage and administe the Portal properly.

On the same occasion, the head of the Training Department, Mr. Noberto Soares Cristovão highlighted that, this training becomes as part of the TIC TIMOR program and the MCAE's request to develop the Official Portal and this training becomes as the opportunity in building the knowledge of participants in the management of the Official Portal.

Moreover, the head of the Department also explained that this training becomes an important role of TIC TIMOR aims to provide support to State Institutions in the implementation of the Electronic Government in accordance with number 2.8 regarding Information and Communication Technology (ICT) and 6.7 Electronic Government of the IX Constitutional Government assigned to TIC TIMOR as an important and imperative mission to be carried out.

The Official Portal is considered important because currently there are several platforms that are not credible in guaranteeing information, so the Official Portal becomes as a means in which is considered quite credible in transmitting information from the Ministry", explained the head of the department. It is expected that participants in this training will be able to take advantage of the opportunity, in order to be able to manage the portal at the MCAE Institution by themselves.

On behalf of TIC TIMOR, the head of the department expressed sincere thanks to MCAE in providing their trust to TIC TIMOR in developing this Official Portal.

Meanwhile the training was carried out over two days at the Trade Invest building in Colmera. Upon completion of the Training, TIC TIMOR awarded Certificate of Appreciation to the participants.
