THE TIC TIMOR I.P AGENCY PROVIDED OFFICIAL PORTAL TRAINING TO THE EMPLOYEES OF THE MINISTRY OF TRADE AND INDUSTRY MCI (Portuguese Acronym)


DÍLI, 25 September 2024__The TIC TIMOR I.P. Agency through the Information and Application System Development Directorate DDSIA (Portuguese acronym), provided today Administration Management training to employees of the Ministry of Trade and Industry MCI (Portuguese acronym).

The purpose of this training is to increase the capacity of MCI employees in order to manage and administrating the Official Portal with the purpose in transmitting information to the public related to MCI activities.

At the opening of the training, the MCI the Head of the Cabinet of MCI, Mr. Julito Soares, expressed his gratitude to TIC TIMOR for the willingness to develop the Official Portal of MCI, considering that Commerce and Industry becomes as the actor in economic development in Timor-Leste therefore, it would be able to help publication of the MCI’s activities to the public through this Official Portal.

On the same occasion, the head of the Training Department, Mr. Noberto Soares Cristovão highlighted that, this training becomes as part of the TIC TIMOR program and the MCI's request to develop the Official Portal and this training becomes as the opportunity in building the knowledge of participants in the management of the Official Portal.

Moreover, the head of the Department also explained that this training becomes an important role of TIC TIMOR aims to provide support to State Institutions in the implementation of the Electronic Government in accordance with number 2.8 regarding Information and Communication Technology (ICT) and 6.7 Electronic Government established at the IXth Constitutional Government assigned to TIC TIMOR as an important and imperative mission to be carried out.

The Official Portal is considered important because currently there are several platforms that are not credible in guaranteeing information, so the Official Portal becomes as a means in which is considered quite credible in transmitting information from the Ministry", explained the head of the department. It is expected that participants in this training would be able to take advantage of the opportunity, in order to be able to manage the portal at the MCI Institution by themselves.

On behalf of TIC TIMOR, the head of the department expressed sincere gratitude to MCI in providing their trust to TIC TIMOR in developing this Official Portal.

Meanwhile the training was carried out over two days at the MCI office in Bebora.

Upon completion of the Training, TIC TIMOR awarded Certificate of Appreciation to the participants.
