Díli, October 1st, 2024— The Executive Director of the TIC TIMOR I.P. Agency Mr. Venâncio Pinto, held a coordination meeting today with the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) at the TIC TIMOR I.P. Agency building in Caicoli.
The objective of this meeting aims to address the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) with a view in establishing collaboration with TIC TIMOR I.P. forms on how to establish collaboration in relation to Digital Transformation in Timor-Leste.
At this meeting, the UNDP CTA Mr. Bruno de Lecuteli highlighted that their project is now in the process of operation, therefore, they greatly need inputs and ideas from TIC TIMOR I.P. find out appropriate solutions for the mentioned project.
"UNDP is currently implementing a digital transformation project that is ongoing. The main objective is to support the development of digital transformation in Timor-Leste. Therefore, we intend to discuss with TIC TIMOR the appropriate form of cooperation to obtain an appropriate solution to resolve existing issues", highlighted Mr. Bruno.
On this occasion, the Executive Director of TIC TIMOR I.P., Mr. Venâncio Pinto, also introduced the progress of services in which TIC TIMOR has achieved so far, and obtained significant advancements in the digital transformation process in Timor-Leste.
“TIC TIMOR is a state institution that has gained trust to implement Electronic Government in Timor-Leste, which is now progressing with services reaching from the national level to municipalities, with integrated connections to local sites, both in applications developed by TIC TIMOR in accessing the intranet,” stated the superior.
The top leader of the TIC Agency also emphasized that several institutions have already stored their data in TIC TIMOR and in the future, many other important institutions will also store data at TIC TIMOR, and so far, still having many other requests are continuing coming to TIC TIMOR.
In the digital transformation process, TIC TIMOR will focus on four priorities areas such as education, health, and agriculture, the Executive Director informed the UNDP team.
During the meeting, the directors of each division within the TIC TIMOR Agency, including each unit, also presented their services progress which have been achieved, including the priorities plans in which are going to be implemented in the coming year.
Meanwhile, in the meeting was participated by Director, the directors of each division, advisors, head units, and the UNDP team.
